I am an experienced marketing professional, skilled and educated in business, strategic marketing, communications, design, and project management.
My career as an agency web designer began in Vancouver in the late-nineties. I then designed websites for multi-national firms while living in Tokyo, Japan. After nearly two years abroad, I returned to Canada and joined the University of Northern British Columbia as a print and web designer. There, my experience broadened to include strategic marketing, internal communications, and external relations. While working full-time, I completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Marketing.
In 2009, I joined Farm Credit Canada, a federal crown corporation. While working in strategic marketing at FCC, I developed an interest in project management and earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential. I then became the lead project manager for a multimillion-dollar industry awareness campaign.
I moved to Calgary in 2012 and, along with raising my two young children, I provided marketing consulting services to small businesses. In 2017, I joined Mount Royal University as a Marketing and Communications Strategist, where I now create and execute high-level marketing strategies for MRU's revenue-generating departments.
